These are not my words, in fact those Facebook admin who spent thousands of rupees and years of time to populate their Facebook Fan pages are saying this. This week, while we were monitoring all this, at least a dozen Facebook pages – with millions of Fans, started getting deleted. Let's have a look at those pages and their stats:
As its apparent, the music blogs/celebrities are primarily under attack, which gives us an impression that this is targeted deletion. Based on conversation we had with admins of above mentioned Facebook pages, we are quite sure that this massacre is happening due to a flaw in Facebook's policy. I am intentionally not disclosing the technique by which you can get any Facebook page deleted in minutes – but believe me anyone can get any Facebook page deleted with just few clicks. This flaw in Facebook's policy is going to ruin the businesses (if not fixed soon) who are depending and investing with Facebook. So all those corporations, relying on Facebook pages (Ufone, Telenor, Mobilink, Zong) – think again, as this company can ditch you any day. Its time to roll out a backup plan. This is why (because of Facebook Policies) we stopped using Facebook on May 20th, 2010 and are happily living a life without it. Check Following screenshots of pages – they are no more now! All of us have seen numerous advertisements regarding IR and how various services are promoting their services by telling us how many roaming partners they have and how cheap the services are. Well, surprise surprise, IR services are rarely, if ever cheap. You are charged for outgoing, incoming, outgoing SMS as well as Incoming SMS (check with your service provider for promotions in which some destinations enjoy free incoming SMS). Furthermore, most of the frequent destinations are usually on postpaid and not on prepaid. First, let's talk about IR on postpaid. High Security Deposits: The 1st thing any operator will require before they activate your IR services is that the security deposit must be enhanced since these services are being activated with a minimum credit limit of Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 20,000/-. But if you are lucky and you have a corporate account with your service provider, i.e. your company has an arrangement with the service provider, the limit will be enhanced and services activated without any delay. IR Activation Time: For mere mortals such as us, activation time for IR is between 24-72 hours depending upon various operators as well as due verification. This may or may not include a physical visit on the address you have provided as well as a phone call from the service provider. Paying Bill Back Home Becomes Hefty You also have to remember that once you reach or exceed your credit limit, depending upon your service provider, your connection will get blocked and you will have to ask someone to pay your bill so that your services may be resumed. International Roaming on Prepaid For prepaid, the process is much simpler since all you require is a certain balance amount and you can call the helpline or visit your service provider to have IR activated. Is International Roaming Inexpensive? Now what most people fail to realize and mostly they do not pay attention to the fact that IR is not cheap, in fact it is really expensive and all transactions are conducted in US dollars. So if you browse through an IR tariff, make sure the tariff printed says Pakistani Rupees, because if it says cents, they are talking about US dollars. Since foreign currency rates fluctuate, that means you will be charged at the rate which was applicable on that day. Further, in case you ever require your bill for IR, you will realize that it is not easy to calculate your bill, for example, the simple calculation would be the number of units (minutes) multiplied by the tariff, but it is not that simple. What telecom service providers fail to mention is that a roaming charge is also added into the bill. At the end of the day, IR services are great for someone who always needs to be connected and really relies on his cellphone to get business done. For people on leisure trips or on holidays, if you want to save yourself the hassle as well as some money, just go buy a prepaid at your destination which will always be comparatively cheaper and less troublesome, and don't forget to enjoy your holiday! Here are some tips and etiquettes (for corporate people at least) that we should consider when sending a text-message: Message the Right Number: We should make sure that we are sending a text message to the right mobile phone number as its very easy to select the wrong mobile phone book entry. You may not even know if your message that has been sent to wrongly selected number. Its always better to double check the recipient number. Introduce Yourself First: If you are going to call or send a text-message to someone who doesn't have your mobile phone number, then first introduce yourself before initiating the actual conversation. Don’t Use it for Conveying News: SMS should not be used for informing someone of sad news, business matters, or urgent meetings. Messages may end up un-delivered and you may not be able to get your message to the recipient. Avoid Confidential Issues: Be careful not to send anything confidential, personal, or potentially embarrassing as someone might be looking over the message receiver’s shoulder or your message might get sent to the wrong person and read by someone whom you did not want to share the message with. Keep it Short: Try to keep your SMS as brief as possible. as no one wants to have an entire conversation with you by texting when you could just call him or her instead. Respond to the Sender: In case of receiving a text message that was sent to you by mistake, reply explaining that you aren't the intended recipient. It's impossible to list all of the phone based options individually here in this article. Below is a list of software than you can install for blocking SMS/Calls. In some cases the trial versions can help too in fending them off for 15 to 30 days. In some cases you can even get these for Free too. Symbian or Nokia Handsets Unfortunately most of these software are available for the S60 (Symbian OS 8 & above) phones, meaning that older handsets (around 5 years old, pre-N70) are not supported.
Go to the Android Market on your phone and there are endless options, well not actually endless but a lot. Here are some of the filtered ones, all are free.
iOS (iPhone) You will have to Jailbreak your phone and Install Cydia but I guess that's how all those iPhones are already here in Pakistan. You will probably find more with Cydia, here are the top ones.
Windows Mobile No free options here, sadly.
1- Save the number to a contact & create a profile exception to block that number from Profile > Advanced. You won't be alerted. Please check your phone manual for further details. 2- Use the Blackberry's Firewall option to block SMS/MMS etc. by going to: Options > Security Options > Firewall. (Caution! They will be blocked & discarded forever.) 3- Create a Free account at YouMail.com & forward your caller to the Voicemail or just plainly block them even from going to your Voicemail, click here for YouMail App on AppWorld. 4- Software Tools:

Ashraf Kapadia, Chairman Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) stated this in an interview with ProPakistani recently. He said that local universities are producing merely 50 percent workforce of the what market requires. Not only this, very few of these fresh graduates come with exceptional professional skills. P@SHA chief mentioned that top-notch universities including FAST, NUST, GIK and few others institutes produce excellent graduates but their share is very limited, just around 1,000 graduates an year or so. He urged that Pakistani IT universities should enhance their standards of the education as well as number of students to meet the growing demand of local and international market. The local software houses are once again making high success to obtain handsome businesses in developed countries, particularly in US and EU markets, nonetheless they keep their firm focus on local market, which is also witnessing significant expansion thanks to multinational and private sector entities of the country, he added. "I hire 40 to 50 fresh IT graduates every year for different positions but this figure will increase in next couple of years", Kapadia said, who is also Managing Director of System Limited. Pakistani firms providing IT and IT –enabled services to USA, UK and other Asian countries. Gaming and animation, networking, database and programming are major fields of the IT professionals of the country in which they are performing well. Besides IT core fields, Pakistan IT firms are getting popularity in the sector of call centers and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).Medical, legal and accounting practitioners have also bright scope in foreign commissioned BPOs. "Pakistan can compete with its neighbors' particularly with India but we are lacking in our strength of workforce because students are reluctant to join IT field as their career," P@SHA chief said. "Students should work on their specific specialization in IT field for the bright future not only in the foreign countries but in Pakistan also – specifically in the field of content development for towering telecom sector", said Mr. Kapadia. "Jobs opportunities are tremendous and salary packages are attractive in the market but professionals are required to explore their expertise and equip themselves with the advancement of technology", he added.
