A video, which is said to be a “possible Launch advertisement” for M9 by Zong has exclusively reached ProPakistani.

Video AD, which for the first time reveals about the origin and scope of M9, is nicely filmed showing a photography event going wrong. It tries to depict that usual circumstances/settings, which are not as per your plan may end up ugly.

When asked about the originality of the video, Zong's spokesperson denied to comment anything.

We were able to extract information from TVC that M9 will be a new brand from Zong where customers will be given a liberty to choose their calling plans according to their needs.

TVC exactly says "App Plan Banaye Exactly Apni Merzi Ka"

Customers will be able to choose their plan from their phone numbers or the website m9.com.pk

Earlier, the teaser video for M9 generated plenty of buzz in the cyberspace when it got leaked. We are told that Zong undesirably aired the teaser video ahead of schedule due to the leak. If that is the case, we can assume say that M9 will hit the surface in next few hours or a day at most.

Just to add here, with the teaser video and campaign on Facebook, industry has a perception that M9 is a youth brand, we would like our readers to comment on what they think, "If M9 is a youth targeted brand or it's a more of a generic brand"

With the start of new year, PTCL has got a brand new sleek and stylish website – developed by XOR Logics and the Theme is designed by O3 Interfaces.

Moreover, company has got a new slogan “Hello to the Future”, which was previously “Feel the difference”.

The new design is good and the color scheme is pleasant to eyes. It also includes a Featured items slider, but the content and the menus of the website are nearly the same as they previously were.

Webmasters are maybe still updating the website, as plenty of links are down as of now.

While going through the source code of website, we found out the craziness of the developers: the description is a meta tag in the head, mostly used by search engines to display a brief description about the website – but here with PTCL’s official website, developers used it promote their own company. Good going guys!

To further add here, webmaster hasn’t forwarded old URL’s to new URL’s – meaning that all the page rank juice that PTCL’s website had, will be lost. Moreover, all search engine results will land on “Page not Found” area.

Alternatives to QuickTime on OS X

If you’ve recently switched to OS X from Windows, or if you use both platforms regularly, you will notice that a lot of the video you played with ease on Windows does not play on OS X.

Apple includes QuickTime as the default video viewer on OS X, but it cannot handle a wide variety of video codecs, so you will inevitably need to find an additional video player. There are two video players on OS X that rival QuickTime, and seem to play any video you throw at them. They are VLC and Movist.

VLC

VLC has been around for a while and is well known. Many people have replaced both Windows Media Player and QuickTime on OS X and Windows with VLC. It is a mature Open Source application, and is very stable.

We have yet to come across a video file that was not damaged which VLC could not play. You don’t have to seek external codec packs for VLC to play specific types of video like you would with Windows Media Player or QuickTime. You get everything in a well-designed, portable application.

Movist

Movist is a very new application, and has been billed as a replacement for VLC, which is in danger due to a lack of volunteer developers. The Movist UI is more Mac-like than VLC interface. Any difference in the playback quality between Movist and VLC is indistinguishable. The video is clear and smooth, and the sound is no better or worse than the sound on VLC.

Both applications have essentially the same controls, but Movist allows you to play video as the Desktop Background (Command+B). If you have to play a demo video, you can have it play in the background while people continue to use the computer in the foreground.

Movist is more advanced than VLC in terms of playback. You have a lot more options for moving the video forward and back, and you can play the video frame by frame, or play it slower or faster than normal without jumping into a fast-forward speed. These granular controls will allow you to see more detail in the videos you watch.

Movist is surprisingly stable and well-outfitted for such a new application, and it does have the promise of continued future development. Since both of these applications are free and don’t take up much space, we recommend that you try both of them out.
