The AMS power probe 9630-p is a portable direct push machine, intended for use within confined rooms, basements, or even in tight places that a lager power probe cannot gain access. At just 65" tall and 29" wide and weighing only 540 LB it is excellent for your tiny enclosed job sites, or where workspace and clearances can be a concern. The 9630-p model offers 2 hammer alternatives and in addition offers a large 52" of probe stroke to allow for the usage of 4 foot direct push rods.
The 9630-p has large pneumatic tires for simple movement. The conventional easy connect hydraulic ports enable the P model to use with an optional hydraulic portable power source, or it could be connected to any one of the AMS 9630 models by using the auxiliary hydraulic port options. The AMS portable power source is operated by the 15 hp gas motor with electric start, and features a 12 gallon hydraulic oil reservoir along with hydraulic oil cooler.
Like the power probe additionally, it has 16" pneumatic tires for easy movement and great for tight and enclosed spaces. The foot of the power probe is intended so that it could be attached on the floor using anchor bolts which will increase stability and static resistance making it possible for much deeper penetration. The power probe 6930-p has over 24,000 LB of pull-up power and 19,000 LB of downward force when anchored. Both 6930-p and the mobile power source are powder coated for extended durability.
This versatile power probe may be used as a concrete anchored unit or you could add the optional hitch mounting kit enabling you to use the weight of the vehicle for better stability, or to easily maneuver or transport short distances This unit could also be used to get groundwater samples directly in the hollow drill stem for analysis from the field or laboratory of fast tracked groundwater samples.
The P model can be used to install pre-packed groundwater tracking wells as high as 1.0 inch O.D. to a depth of 30 feet with the 2.5 inch O.D. drill rods. In combination with standard soil sampling, the P model can be used installing PVC monitoring wells, either by inserting them in an open borehole, or by driving a steel outer shell. The 9630 is capable of probing at any direction, making it an ideal option for testing under houses or any other angle probing procedures.
