Turn Any PDF into an ePUB File Posted: 11 Mar 2011 03:33 AM PST While most modern e-readers will read a PDF, many display ePUB files better than PDFs. Most Smartphones have apps that will read both file formats, depending on user preference, but many times the ePUB apps have added features, like the ability to bookmark your place in the file. Converting a PDF to an ePUB file is easy with ePUB2Go.com. PDFs can either be uploaded from your computer or transferred from an internet location. Choose the button the bottom left of the page that describes where your PDF is located. Either enter the URL of your PDF, or click Choose File to upload your PDF. PDFs must be less than 30 MB in size, and the site warns that tables and non-vector images will not be converted. After selecting your file, click Upload PDF. The document could take several minutes to convert, depending on its size. When the PDF is converted, a screen appears asking whether you would like to download the ePUB file to your computer, or have it sent by email to your iPhone. Click View/Save on my computer to save it to your computer, or enter an email address and click Send it To My iPhone to send it to your email address. This service works well for converting e-books and other text-only type files from PDF to ePUB. For more complicated files with graphics and tables, the service simply does not work well. And, if any sign of copyright appears in the file, the service refuses to convert the format. All-in-all, ePUB2Go.com is designed for die-hard ePUB fans, and does not offer enough features to convert PDF-lovers to ePUB-lovers.
