Dr. Shah is considered as pioneers for digital media advertising in the country. He played a pivotal role in taking the online advertising industry to where it is now. He did many industry firsts including rich media interactive ads, dynamic ads, advanced media features and more. Mr. Shah's resignation came at a time when Digital Media is at its ever best level in the country. More and more companies are turning their focus to web advertising. After cellular companies, FMCGs, real-estate, Banks and all kind of industries have started investing in online media. An analyst from digital media, while commenting on Dr. Shah's resignation, said that this move is a blow for Eyeblaster and eTechsol, especially in current competitive market of Pakistani digital space. "Competition companies like Symmetry, TNBT, Strategic Alliance and Bramerz are likely to give the hard time to Eyeblaster and eTechsol after his resignation", he added. We are yet to ascertain the next company of Dr. Shah, however, we are told that this move is primarily aimed for career growth. Dr. Shah has a doctorate degree in Strategic Business Planning. NADRA Kiosk Not Punching Utility Bills, Thousands of Subscribers Suffer [LTE] Posted: 20 Jan 2011 02:01 AM PST NADRA Kiosk Not Punching Utility Bills, Thousands of Subscribers Suffer [LTE] is a post from: ProPakistani Dear ProPakistani, I am writing this to register my complaint and protest against NADRA Kiosks, which are to help subscribers pay their utility bills with ease. Unlike what NADRA claims, my first and probably the last experience with NADRA Kiosks went horrible. My paid amount didn't reach to the SUI Northern Gas and I was billed again with extra charges for the service that I had paid already for. This happened as NADRA didn't punch my bill and transaction was not carried away. I am sure this is not only me. There must be thousands of other customers who would be bearing the same brunt. I have heard WAPDA linemen telling subscribers to not to pay bills at NADRA Kiosks as they don't punch bills at time, or even after time. I am attaching scanned copies of my bills hereby for your reference: I heave heard that various NADRA e-sahulat centers have ran away with millions of rupees in their pockets, which were submitted by poor gas and electricity subscribers, which never reached to the companies. All these subscribers had to pay their utility bills again. I wonder, if this country has any rule to implement? and if there is anyone who could listen to the pleas of poor public? Is there anyone who can question NADRA on this? A concerned citizen, ——————————————————— Letter written to ProPakistani reflect readers thoughts, feelings and experiences. Cellular Tariffs: Our Culture of Criticism and Discontentment Posted: 19 Jan 2011 08:15 PM PST Cellular Tariffs: Our Culture of Criticism and Discontentment is a post from: ProPakistani This is a Guest Post By Asad Ur Rehman, who wrote this article as general mobile phone user. Professionally, Asad is a specialist in Human Resource Management. Ever since Pakistan came into being every thing got costly by every passing day. Inflation has risen much but there is only one product or service which even in the era of inflation and recession is getting cheaper and affordable with the time is Cellular Service. But even then we people are not contented on it and want more and more. Tariffs for Calls, SMS and GPRS/EDGE have come down from Rupees to Paisas but still we are not happy. Every now and then a company announces some new package for subscribers but still we don't feel good. We are having the cheapest cellular services in the world but still we don't fell satisfied. The thing is that this discontentment and criticism has become a part of our life. Positive criticism is good but criticizing on every other thing is not good. Just a brief overview of how much cellular services have gone cheaper in last 4-5 years is as below.
But we try to find a negative point in every service. Some days back Mobilink introduced Jazz Jazba. Every one continued to show its negative picture but no one talked about its reduced international SMS charges, its nominal charges to call on FnF whole day whole night and more. Same goes with Ufone when they introduced Uth package, every one talked about its daily 1 Rs deduction but only some of them applauded. Same goes with M9, Djuice and many more. One thing which we should not forget is that all these companies are private companies and they will do business as long as are having profits and hence they have to find new ways and services to earn it. Also, if mobile companies are having profits – we shouldn't forget that they are giving us something in return. And moreover no one is forcing any one to use a service. It's by our very own choice. Pinched by price war, the day they will be in loss they will pack up and move to somewhere else hence putting lot of professionals and families in trouble. Related posts:
